Check-in/check-out

Check-in is 5pm and check-out is 10am. We have extended our turn around of the lodge in response to government guidelines during Covid-19 so we apologise for the early check-out and late check-in. This gives us time to carry out a deep hygiene clean and let everything breathe for the specified period between guests. Thank you for your patience. Upon check-out, please send us a text saying your leaving and then leave all doors locked, but leave one window in each space open and the key securely in the key safe.

Payment

The following information for payment below is no longer applicable during Covid-19. There will be only one total payment due on arrival at the lodge and this must be paid for by bank transfer. We will issue you with our bank details when necessary.

Payment must be made by bank transfer. A deposit of 25% of the holiday price is required to secure the booking, with the balance payable four weeks before the commencement of the holiday. If booking the holiday less than four weeks before the commencement of the holiday, the full holiday price is payable upon booking.

When we receive your provisional booking request, we’ll be in touch to arrange payment.

Payments in any currency other than GBP are subject to a 5% surcharge.

Cancellation

Covid-19 if you have to cancel there are no penalties. The information below is no longer applicable.

Please contact us as soon as possible if you wish to cancel your booking. There is no cancellation fee if you wish to change your booking to another available date, although you may have to pay extra if the price of your new holiday date is higher than that of your original booking.

If you cancel your booking within four weeks of the holiday commencement date, the cancellation fee is 100%. If you cancel more than four weeks in advance of the holiday commencement date, the cancellation fee is 25% (equivalent to the deposit that you will have paid).

We recommend you have some form of insurance that will cover your costs should you have to cancel your holiday at the last minute.

In the unfortunate event that we have to make changes to your booking (for example if the property is suffering from damage that requires immediate repair), we will refund all sums paid by you for this booking. This will be our only obligation or liability to you in such circumstances.

Care of the property

We work hard to ensure that The Sea Cubby is in great condition for your stay. Please treat the lodge with care and leave it in the state you found it. We thoroughly clean the lodge between bookings, but it would be appreciated if you could leave bins empty and return all furniture to its original position before you leave the cabin.

Please report any damage or breakages as soon as possible so we can organise repairs or replacements. Occasional breakages of small items (glasses/crockery) is to be expected, but guests are responsible for paying for all damage or breakages to larger items.

We ask that you show courtesy to the neighbours of The Sea Cubby during your stay, particularly in terms of noise and parking. Please note that the owners cannot accept responsibilty for damage to your vehicle when parked at The Sea Cubby.

Occupancy

The maximum occupancy of The Sea Cubby is 4 people. We reserve the right to terminate your stay with no refund if you have more than this staying at the cabin.

Services

We cannot be held liable if services (water/electricity/internet) in the lodge fail. However, please inform us if there is a problem and we’ll report it to the supplier to get it rectified as quickly as possible.

Smoking

Smoking is not permitted inside The Sea Cubby.
